BioSIM researcher participated in the 18th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (ESOR2021)

Carla S. S. Teixeira participated in the 18th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (ESOR2021). This international meeting took place online between September 21st and 23rd, 2021.

Carla S. S. Teixeira presented a poster describing the role of the Cys-Glu-Lys catalytic triad in the catalytic mechanism of the enzyme Nitrilase 2.
The ESOR series is a string of biennial events that are hosted in different European cities. The conference series started in Paris in 1987 and it has been held every second year ever since.

The ESOR series of conferences highlight the most recent results in organic reactivity. The ESOR Symposia are dedicated to fundamental research in reaction mechanisms, theory of molecular reactivity, molecular machines, functional molecules, supramolecular chemistry, photochemistry, systems chemistry, surface, and interface chemistry.

The 18th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (ESOR2021 Amsterdam online) was held online from 21 till 23 September 2021. The primary objective of ESOR is the exchange of the latest developments and ideas in the field of physical and theoretical organic chemistry. The program extended over three days and comprised two sessions with lectures of Distinguished Speakers: Ken Houk (UCLA College), Peter Schreiner (Justus-Liebig-University Giessen), Guy Lloyd-Jones (University of Edinburgh), Odile Eisenstein (Université Montpellier) as well as a poster Twitter event.
