Carla Sílvia Silva Teixeira is a PhD student, with a FCT Grant, at BioSIM. She is currently assigned to the Chemistry PhD programme with the specialty in Theoretical Chemistry and Molecular Modeling at the Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Engineer of the University of Porto. She uses QM/MM methods to study the catalytic mechanism of multi-functional enzyme complexes that are potential drug targets for pathogens such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
