MSc Student
Clara Cerqueira was a M.Sc. Student of the MSc in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (FCUP) that previously graduated in Biology (FCUP) in 2021.
Her MSc project was supervised by João Carneiro (CIIMAR) and Diogo Pratas (University of Aveiro) with the co-supervision of Sérgio F. Sousa (BioSIM). The project focused on optimizing plastic-degrading enzymes with the use of data mining tools and molecular models and, further along, the implementation of machine learning models with the goal of finding a sustainable solution for ocean cleanup.
