MSc Student

Rodrigo Andrade, graduated in Applied Biology at the University of Minho in 2018, and is currently developing his M.Sc. research project in Medicinal Chemistry at UMinho and BioSIM.
Andrade’s project is entitled “Synthesis and Computational Studies of Novel Heterocycle Structures inspired on Clozapine”. The computational studies are being developed at BioSIM, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, under the supervision of Dr. Sérgio Sousa, while the syntheses are being done at the Chemistry Research Centre of the University of Minho, supervised by Prof. Fernanda Proença. Afterward, the synthesized molecules will be tested by the research group of professors Mabel Loza and Marian Castro, at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
