Pedro J. Silva’s work is mainly devoted to the study of mechanisms of organic chemistry and biochemistry reactions, as well as, the in silico development of enzymatic inhibitors. He has published 40 papers in ISI-indexed journals, with over 600 citations in the field. He became an Associate Editor at PeerJ in 2015, where became responsible (as Section Editor, since 2018) for the supervision of the editorial decisions of >60 editors in the fields of Biophysics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology.
