Collaborator

Cristina Sousa, graduated in Biochemistry in 2009, at the University of Porto. In the last year of her degree she joined Erasmusinterchange period at the University of Paris 7 Denis Diderot, where she worked in the laboratory “Stress et Pathologies du Cytosquelette” under the supervision of Prof.  Alain LILIENBAUM. In 2011 she finished her Masters in Medicinal Chemistry in the University of Minho and the wrote her thesis entitled « A D-Eritrose como sintão para a síntese de iminoaçúcares ».

Between 2010 and 2012 she worked in organic laboratory in the University of Minho with a research grant under orientation of Prof. Maria José Alves. In 2013 she began her PhD funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, where she worked on synthesis, biological assays and in computational chemistry methodology: Quantum mechanics/Molecular mechanics (QM/MM) and molecular docking.
