Researcher Fellow
Carlos Pereira, obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2018 and his Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2019, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. The work developed during the MSc Thesis was entitled as the “Computational study of ion selective separation through graphene nanowindows” and was performed under the supervision of Prof. Alexandre Magalhães (FCUP/UCIBIO).
At BioSIM, he worked with a research grant under the supervision of Prof. Sérgio Sousa (FMUP/BioSIM) and Prof. Nuno Cerqueira (FMUP/BioSIM) at BioSIM in the development of a database of transition state structures for organic reactions using different computational methodologies (QM and QM/MM).
