Sérgio F. Sousa presented talk at ESPA Meeting in Tarragona, Spain

Sérgio F. Sousa presented an oral communication entitled “Application of QM/MM Methods in the Study of the Enzyme Efficiency by PET Degrading Enzymes” at the ESPA2024 Meeting (Electronic Structure Principles and Applications Conference) held in Tarragona, Spain, between 3 and 7 June, 2024.

This conference involved around 270 researchers from all over the world with expertise in the field of computational chemistry and was organized by the Quantum Chemistry research group of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Throughout the week, the various lectures revolved around the latest research on topics related to computational chemistry: from the development of new catalysts, to drug development and enzyme engineering. The meeting also involved discussions on the development of new quantum chemistry technologies and in the application of machine learning in research.
