5 BioSIM students present their work at Biophysics Festival – 4th Meeting of Young Biophysics, Covilhã (UBI)

BioSIM PhD students Fábio Sousa, Duangnapa Kiriwan, Airam Roggero and MSc students Filipe Rocha and Rodrigo Andrade presented their work at Biophysics Festival – 4th Meeting of Young Biophysics, an event that took place in Covilhã (UBI), from 9-10th of May, 2024.

Fábio Martins presented the work entitled “Exploring pH-Dependent Dynamics of Doxorubicin Delivery Using Functionalized Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes: Insights from Molecular Dynamics Simulations”.

Duangnapa Kiriwan presentd a flash talk entitled “Development and Application of a Multi-Level Computational and In Vitro Approach for Identifying MAPK3 Inhibitors in Leishmania martiniquensis and Leishmania Orientalis”.

Airam Roggero, Filipe Rocha and Rodrigo Andrande presented poster communications entitled “Exploring the Sites of Interaction of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs with Enzymes in the Landis Cycle”, “Application of In Silico Methods to identify Putative Druggable Cavities on the Machado-Joseph Disease Causing Protein” and “Design of Novel Molecules with Potential Antipsychotic Activity Integrating an In Silico Approach”, respectively.

The PYBphy is an affiliated group of the Portuguese Biophysics Society, with the intent of representing  the young researchers (undergraduate, graduated, PhD students, and also early post-docs) working in Biophysics. The main goal of the Biophysics Festival is to dynamize and unite the biophysical community and diffuse biophysics towards society and the general scientific community.
