BioSIM Members presented their work at XXVII Encontro Luso Galego de Química, Porto

BioSIM members Fábio Martins, Isabelly Annunciato, Tatiana Vieira and Sofia Sousa presented their work at the XXVII Encontro Luso Galego de Química, an event that took place in Porto, from the 22nd to 24th of November 2023. 

Fábio Martins presented his work entitled: “Molecular Dynamics Simulations for the Study of Lysinated Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes as Doxorubicin Nanocarriers”.

Isabelly Annunciato presented two oral communications entitled “Aspartame and Inflammation: An In Silico Evaluation of Interference in the Land’s Cycle and Cell Membrane Integrity” and “Biological Implications of DEP: An In Silico Study of Molecular Interactions and Toxicity Associated with Organophosphates”.

Tatiana Vieira presented “The Drug to Target Journey: Development of a Reverse Virtual Screening Protocol for Protein Target Identification”.

Sofia Sousa, presented a poster communication entitled “Virtual Screening of Potential KDM4C Inhibitors for the Treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

The Encontro Luso-Galego de Química promotes scientific and technological innovation in Northern Portugal and Galicia by encouraging cooperation and knowledge exchange among researchers, students, and chemistry professionals on both sides of the border. These meetings strengthen ties between the scientific communities of the two countries, facilitating transfer of knowledge and creating opportunities for collaboration on joint research projects.
