BioSIM PhD student Rita P. Magalhães has been selected, along with 19 other students, for the finale of the first edition of the 3MT U.Porto competition. This competition, which began in Australia in 2008, brings together PhD students with the challenge of presenting their research line in only 3 minutes, in a language understandable by the general public.
In the first stage of the competition, the students were asked to submit a video presentation using only one slide as support.
20 students were selected for the final, which will happen on the 13th of May (16h00), at Reitoria da Universidade do Porto. The event is open to everyone, and each student will once again have 3 minutes to explain their thesis. The winner will receive a 1200 € monetary award.
