8 BioSIM Students participate in the VIII EJIBCE

André Pina, Carla Teixeira, Cátia Santos-Pereira, Fábio Martins, Henrique Fernandes, Juliana Rocha, Rita Magalhães and Tatiana F. Vieira participated in the VIII EJIBCE – Encontro de Jovens Investigadores de Biologia Computacional Estrutural. This national meeting took place in Coimbra, Portugal, on December 20th 2021. 

Tatiana Vieira presented an oral communication on “Developed of Inverted Virtual Screening Approaches for the Identification of Protein Targets Associated to the Biological Activity of Specific Molecules”.

This annual meeting brings together Portuguese and working-in-Portugal researchers on the fields on Computational and Structural Biology, and includes accepted oral communications, poster sessions and invited speakers. In the VIII edition, the main interventions were presented by Bruno Silva (University of Lisbon, “Identification of membrane Pan-Assay INterference CompoundS (PAINS) using an atomistic Molecular Dynamics protocol” ) and Diana Lousa (ITQB, NOVA University, “Viral membrane fusion: characterizing and inactivating a crucial step of the infection by devastating pathogens”).
