New Article in Journal of Chemical Education – Meet BioSIMAR

Please, check our recent publication in Journal of Chemical Education introducing BioSIMAR, a tool for easy interactive visualization of molecules by augmented reality developed at BioSIM/FMUP.

BioSIMAR was developed to provide a new way to visualize and interact with 3D molecular models in a virtual environment, using Augmented Reality (AR) and Quick Response (QR) code technologies to provide tangible models of molecules to illustrate chemical concepts.

BioSIMAR is a free online software that runs on any electronic devices, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or standard computers with a camera and an internet connection, not requiring the installation of additional software.

This software helps people to understand concepts about atoms, molecules, and their characteristics.

BioSIMAR is freely available at ar.biosim.pt.
