BioSIM welcomes a new PhD Student, Cátia Santos-Pereira.
Her work aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying the anticancer activity of the milk-derived protein lactoferrin, focusing on its interactors, with the final goal of contributing to its rational therapeutic application. She is developing her work under the supervision of Manuela Côrte-Real (CBMA/UMinho) and Lígia Rodrigues (CEB/UMinho), in collaboration with Nuno Cerqueira and Sérgio Sousa (FMUP/BioSIM).
